Message from Frank Punch, Tournament Director Welcome! rugby players, administrators, coaches, and supporters to the website for the 41st Porter Cup scheduled for April 3 and 4 ,2004 at the pristine, fully irrigated fields at Dorey Park. For those unaware, The Porter Cup is one of the oldest rugby tournaments in the USA and is named after the original scrumhalf and Captain for old Richmond RFC, Robert Fulton "Steamboat" Porter. I encourage you to browse our table of contents to your left and visit this site often as we publish the competitors, start times, and important announcemnts and information that will help you enjoy this tournament to its fullest extent. First round of matches will commence at 10:00am Sat/Captain's Meeting 9:30am-scroll down for division and seeding assignments and first round start times.

MASTERS KO at HIGH NOON Sunday April 4th
Saturday
Games will kickoff at 10:00am. Schedule and game times are attached. Games will be 25 minute halves, 10 minute half-time. Last games should wrap up 4:00-4:30 on Saturday.
Sunday
Games will kickoff at 10:00am. Consolation games will be 25 minute halves, 10 minute half-time. Championship game should kickoff at 1:00pm. Championship will run full 40 minute halves.
Saturday Night Social
The Saturday night social will be held at club Catch-22/NV, 1718 E. Main St in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom, from 5:30-9:00pm. Directions to the social will be available at the tournament. Catch 22 is an 18 and up club. Please be aware that the club has a dress code of no athletic wear which will be enforced beginning at 9:00pm.
Directions to Dorey Park
From the North, South ,and West take I-64 East out of Richmond. Exit at Laburnum Avenue, bearing right off the exit onto Laburnum Ave. Proceed South on Laburnum. Go approximately 4 miles, crossing Williamsburg Rd. and passing the Nabisco Plant on the right. Turn left onto Darbytown Road and proceed 1 mile. Entrance to Dorey Park is on the right and our pitch is to the right as you enter the park.
From the East proceed I64 West and exit at Laburnum Avenue before entering Richmond. Directions are the same as above from there.
