Cary....This is Steve Fyke and I found out why my rate was more expensive than others. I am supposed to have a (sigh) HUGE room with 1 king size bed and 2 twin beds along with all the amenities!!! YEP, I get all this room (beds and all) for my Girlfriend and myself. Soooooooo.....If any one that has a smaller room but needs more room OR someone that wants to fit 4 (or more) in a room and save bucks AND be right next to the field let me know. Room rates are 90 bucks weds night and 150 for the rest of the weekend. Divided amonst a few lads and it would be quite cheap. (I would want to trade for something CLOSE to the field also). (Cary, if you could forward this on to the rest of the lads I would appreciate it.

Thanks.....Steve

From Phil Mitchell

CARY,

I JUST BOOKED MY HOTEL ROOM AT THE ST. MORITZ LODGE AND CONDOS. I HAVE A ROOM WITH A QUEEN AND TWIN BEDS W/SMALL REFRIGERATOR. THE RATE WAS $83 PER NIGHT. IT IS A SHORT WALK TO THE PITCH.

LOCATION: 334 WEST HYMAN AVE. 800-817-2069 THIS MIGHT BE A PLACE FOR SOME OF YOU GUYS.

SEE YOU IN ASPEN.

June 18th

Tom Oxenham has just released his original room reservation at Mt.Chalet. Call the Mt.Chalet to book this room. 800-321-7813 Great price, outstanding location, will not last!!

Hi Cary,

I just got done talking to the only 2 players I know, that are going, and it doesn’t sound like I can hook up with them…. Wives and girlfriends going …. I plan to get to Denver b4 1:00 most likely sooner. I would appreciate it if you could try to set me up with a roommate / mates and a ride to aspen.

Thanks Tim

Cary

I'm in- I made my reservations for the Mountain Chalet! Thursday-Fri.-Sat.Sunday. I can play inside /outside center--Flanker-8 or 2nd row. I appreciate the opportunity to participate. I'm trying to lobby Blitz- He would be an excellent addition! I'll probably fly in Wed. evening I'm thinking of flying to aspen airport. What do you think?

Cheers Phil Dorsey

To: "Phil Dorsey" CC: "Blitz Antlitz"

Good evening Phil Dorsey,

Glad to hear from you and delighted and honored that you can support the Virginia Gents in Aspen. We will slot ya at center. By the end of our extended weekend, you will probably see action in several positions. You know how it goes.

What is your chest size?

In regard to travel, the 45s and 50s expect to have a run wednesday evening Sept 13 at Rio Grand Park at 5pm in Aspen. I expect to arrive in Denver midday on wednesday and rent a car and make the 3 hr spectacular drive into Aspen. We can save dollars by collaborating on rental cars out of Denver rather than adding the flight leg into Aspen.

Advise once your travel plans are in place. We can figure out the rental car thing if you wish to go this route?

Yes,get Blitz! We would be tickled and honored to have Blitz onboard.

Did you reserve your room at the Mt.Chalet for wednesday night too?

We have some pesky money obligations and more details about our rugby vacation here:

Hey Steve Fyke,

Thank you for sharing on travel/hotel plans. I will see you at Rio Grand Park 5pm Wed 13 Sept. I look forward to meeting Julie. Still trying to talk my wife,Kathleen, into going.

Keep your radar out for any candidates for the roster. We have room for 8-10 mates to get us up to 30.

What is your chest size?

Best regards, Cary http://richmondrugby.net/gents_aspen.html

Cary, Julie & I booked our flights to Aspen today, arriving at 12:15 PM MST on weds the 13th of September. Do I need to check in with anyone or leave a message that I have arrived and room number or just be at the lower park at 5 pm? I also booked reservations at Mountian Chalet. With AC (lol) its 90 a night for Weds and 160 a night for Thursday thru Sunday. Thats for 1 bed...not sure if it changes for more than 1 bed. Without AC its 10 bucks cheaper (go figure). Anyway, just wanted to pass on the pricing info and let you know you can put a X next to my name that I WILL be there. (BTW I did book it for the total time and plan on being there for the entire weekend providing my warehouse doesn't burn down or the waters don't rise!!)
